Parvocalanus crassirostris is a small, pelagic calanoid copepod. The nauplii (larval stage) are small, measuring in the 50-100 µm range, making them a suitable feed for small-gape larval fish. Copepodites and adults range in size from 100 to 400 µm. Parvocalanus crassirostris is a pelagic (open water) cyclopoid copepod that offers new and exciting feeding opportunities for the marine keeper & breeder. Adults provide excellent food for Seahorse fry and corals, whilst the minute nauplii are especially useful for the cultivation of difficult to breed marine fish such as Mandarinfish & Pipefish.
Store at room temperature and do not refrigerate. Salinity: Typically 31 ppt - 35 ppt.
