By first looking at what was missing in our local fish store. In this instance, we found that whilst there was no shortage of live foodstuff for the freshwater hobby (bloodworm, brine shrimp, daphnia, etc.) there was a complete lack of live food organisms for the marine aquarium. Our first project was to breed marine rotifers and copepods for sale at our local fish store, a project that has met with great success.
We are working with Swansea University to research and develop new products that are designed with the ornamental marine aquarium hobby in mind.
